This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Catherine & Darren's wedding in London. I pulled out this image as I was backing everything up on the train home and couldn't resist sending it over to them before they head off on their honeymoon today. The most amazing day, full of beautiful flowers and people. I cannot wait to start on this edit...but first, tea!
I've been keeping myself busy since our move back to Yorkshire, not only have I got myself a new bike so I can pootle around the area but over the past couple of weeks I have been photographing the makes and products of local independent makers and creators here in Leeds.
As I'm new to the area I'm offering an introductory rate of £75 for a full days shoot to any (not necessarily Leeds based!) makers and creators out there to have pictures of their products taken. If you're interested then we'll begin by having a big old chat about your products, the best way to shoot them and the best way to style the shots. Then if its easier for you, you can post your makes to me and I can send them straight back once they've been photographed. You may be thinking that you don't need a full days shoot as you only have a few items - well thats fine too, just let me know what you want shooting and we'll work out a price. If this sounds like something you or someone you know would be interested in then great! Let's work together! Send an email to email@example.com
We've just got back from a couple of days camping in the Lake District, we stayed near Ullswater at a lovely campsite called The Quiet Site. We originally planned to go for 3 nights but the wind was so bad I don't think our tent would have lasted through the final night. Sadly it's looking like our trusty tent might be on its last legs now, I guess that's what living in it for 3 months does! The lakes are beautiful, what an amazing area of the country and I'm so glad we now only live a couple of hours drive away.
This weekend we took some time to explore our new local area. The weather was a little hit and miss up in Yorkshire - especially Saturday and Sunday but I'm adapting and quite enjoying the spontaneity of the rain, ha!
We got in the car and drove only 15 minutes up the road to Ilkley Moor, which is actually another thing I'm getting used - driving everywhere! I'm so used to figuring out a train/tube/bus to get places in London that it's quite a novelty to just get in the car and not really face much traffic at all.
The weather was pretty dull and grey but the view was definitely worth the climb up to the top.
This is how I imagined spending my time up here - going for countryside walks, getting some fresh air and seeing some pretty spectacular views. Not bad at all.
I've been trying out the new light in our flat - the windows are huge! I didn't really have anything to hand that was exciting to photograph so settled for a rose from a bunch of flowers our landlord sent to us. Bit cliché maybe but looks pretty! Really looking forward to setting up a studio space so I can do more still life and products.
